For your child to progress with
confidence, punctuality is very important. If they are more than 10
minutes late, they will have to observe class. Not only will this help
in their dance advancement, but it teaches a valuable lesson for life.
Being late also disrupts class and risks injury by missing important
warm-up exercises.
2. The Centre will be closed
when Green City Schools are closed due to bad weather. One snow day is
already figured into tuition with the exception of Monday classes, which
will be made up at a designated time and date. Parents are required to call
the studio regarding class cancellation or check the web site. A taped
message will be recorded to inform you of the status.
3. Please pick up students
within 15 minutes of dismissal time. Office staff will make phone calls for
students if necessary.
4. Make
sure all items of clothing are labeled so they may be returned to you. The
studio will have a lost and found container for your convenience.
5. There
are no refunds or adjustments made for missed classes. Make-up classes
are available to you as a courtesy, not an obligation. Please ask your
instructor which class to make up in. The student will have 30 days to
make-up their missed class. Note that make-ups may not be available during
recital preparation.
6. A
Doctor’s release is required for an injured dancer to return to class. This
applies to injuries outside or inside the studio.
Tuition Policy
1. Registration
Fee: There will be a $15.00 non-refundable registration fee for the school
year.
2. There is a $20.00 fee for all
returned checks.
3. Tuition
is a yearly fee to be paid in monthly installments starting in September and
ending in April. Tuition remains the same regardless of Holiday vacations.
4. Tuition
is due on or before your child’s first lesson of each month. If your child’s
tuition is not received by the 10th and after the 15th of each month, tuition
amounts change. Please check the tuition prices based on what date you pay and
how the prices differ.
5. Discontinued
Lessons: Please notify the centre if a student discontinues. The parent owes
for the entire month if the student drops after the first class of the month.
6. <New>
Dropping out of classes for a month: If you choose to drop out
of classes for a month and do not pay that months tuition, there will be a
penalty of $25 to join back up.
7. Annual
Recital: The annual recital is intended to showcase the techniques learned
throughout the year and to view the progress your children have made. The
recital provides each student with a special goal and a wonderful memory. Adult
classes are given the option to perform in the recital.
8. The
recital is held at Canton Palace Theatre.
Please note that tuition is per student.
We offer discounts on our hourly classes and our fundamentals dance program with
each additional class for the individual student. We also offer a monthly
family plan for those who have more than one family member enrolled.
Though our tuition is per student, we will take 10% off the total
enrollment if a family takes three or more classes. Also consider our
family plan for those families who are at the studio every day.
Walk-ins
Anyone may choose
to take a class at anytime. These classes are $15 per one hour class.

Private
Classes
These are to be
scheduled with the instructor of choice and are subject to their fees.
All prospective students are encouraged to
visit the TDC studios and attend a class gratis, where they will experience
a caring staff whose aim is to motivate, encourage, and develop even the
youngest dancer’s interest and potential. The firm Commitment to excellence
in a nurturing environment has enabled Theatre Dance Centre to develop
dancers to their fullest artistic potential.
